Vertieft in das Schreiben von Zahlenkolonnen reise ich durch Linz. Die Stadt zieht vorbei, ohne von mir beachtet zu werden. Vor mir ein Koffer, ein Endlospapier zwischen zwei Rollen gespannt, und mein Handy: Das ist meine begrenzte Welt für die Dauer der Reise.

Datum, Uhrzeit, Breiten- und Längengrade sowie die Geschwindigkeit halte ich während des Unterwegsseins auf einem Endlospapier fest. Die Daten sind jedoch schon zum Zeitpunkt des Niederschreibens nicht mehr aktuell und ein neuer Datensatz beginnt. Die Verortung in Raum und Zeit ist unmöglich und so ist die Reise eine absurde Tat, bei der nicht das Erleben sondern ihre Dokumentation im Mittelpunkt steht.

Absorbed in writing columns of data, I am traveling through Linz. Streets and people pass by without my noticing. In front of me is a case, continuous paper stretched between two rolls, and my mobile: this is my limited world for the duration of the journey.

I record the date, time, latitude, longitude and speed on a continuous sheet of paper during my journey. However, the data is no longer correct by the time it is written down and I start anew. Localisation in space and time becomes impossible, and so the journey is transformed into an absurd act in which the focus is not on the experience but on its documentation.

Fragil ♦ Fragility ♦ Fragilidad

Fragile Momente wurden mittels Ätzradierung und Aquatinta in Kupferplatten festgehalten. Das Spiel zwischen dem Beständigen und dem Fragilen wird zum Thema gemacht. Durch das Auflösen der Motive wird eine Mehrdeutigkeit erreicht, die dem Betrachter ermutigen soll, seine eigenen Bezüge zwischen den Bildern und den eigenen Erinnerungen herzustellen.

I captured fragile moments and freezed them with etching and aquatint on copper plates. The topic of interest was the game between the constant and the fragile. Through the abstraction of the motif an ambiguity is created, which should encourage the viewer to create his/her own narrations between the pictures and the own memories.

Scheibtruhe ♦ Wheelbarrow ♦  Carretilla   
2013

Eine Scheibtruhe, bis zur Untauglichkeit gebraucht, wurde in ihren Umrissen nachgebaut. Die entstandene Form baut ihren negativen Raum nach. Ihre Farbigkeit erinnert an Karton und Verpackung. Daneben lehnt eine Scheibtruhe an der Wand.

The shape of a used wheelbarrow was built using papier mâché and brings to mind packaging materials. The object represents the negative space of the wheelbarrow. The original object stands beside the paper form.

La silueta de una carretilla vieja esta modelado en materiales que recuerdan al empaque. La forma representa el espacio negativo. La carretilla esta situado al lado.
